Each question on your form uses one of the available question types. Choose the type that matches what you need to collect.
File Upload
The most common type. Submitters drag-and-drop or browse for files to upload. You can configure:
- Accepted file types — limit to IMAGE, FONT, VIDEO, DOCUMENT, or any combination
- Allow multiple — let submitters upload more than one file
- Max files — set a cap on the number of uploads
- Destination board — the board where files will be placed after submission
- Tags to apply — tags added automatically to every uploaded asset
Text
A free-text input for names, descriptions, project briefs, or any other written information. You can mark a text question as the submitter name field, which links the answer to the submission's identity.
A validated email input. Optionally mark it as the submitter email field so Baseline knows who the submission belongs to. This email is also used to send guest invitations when that option is enabled (Business plan and above).
Color
A color picker where submitters define brand colors with hex values. Each color can carry additional key-value pairs (like Pantone or CMYK values). Colors are drag-to-reorder so the submitter can set priority.
When linked to a File Upload question as a source, the color picker auto-fills with dominant colors extracted from the uploaded images.
File Select
Presents the files uploaded to a previous File Upload question and lets the submitter pick one or more. Useful for asking "Which of these logos is your primary logo?" after they upload several options.
